trying to understand

I'm so worried about my brother-in-law that I can't even think straight.. I keep thinking about this war.. Sadam Hussain is out of power now.. exactly how long does it take to train an army and police force over there? I support the war effort and all.. but I'm just wondering now why its still going on.. Ok so they're trying to fight the terrorism.. but thats so scary to me because its going to exist no matter what we do over there.. the government over there is just starting.. I know its chaos and stuff.. but what else is it that we need to do to help? Is it a fear that a terrorist is going to take control again or what? Maybe I'm just uneducated on the whole thing.. It seems to me like we've done all we can so far.. or maybe I'm just being selfish now because I don't want my sister's family in jeopardy..

I remember when she called me all upset because she witnessed her neighbor being informed that her husband had been killed over there... I can't imagine what would happen if Tom died.. my sister couldnt handle it.. I'm sure of it.. and their kids.. omg.. ugh..
